Pay & Benefits:

• Hourly Pay Rate: $87.10

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare, dispense, and verify medication orders per physician requests following hospital protocols.
• Interpret verbal and written drug orders, maintaining accurate patient medication records.
• Compound both sterile and non-sterile pharmaceuticals, including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition.
• Issue controlled substances and ensure compliance with legal and institutional policies.
• Monitor patient drug therapies, including anticoagulation, renal dosing, and pharmacokinetic consults.
• Provide clinical drug information to healthcare providers, participating in interdisciplinary rounds.
• Educate patients and their families on medication use and safety.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, medication reviews, and stewardship programs.
• Supervise pharmacy support staff and verify technicians' daily activities.

What You Need:

• Valid Louisiana pharmacy license
• BLS certification (AHA) required; ACLS preferred
• Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharmacy degree required
• Hospital pharmacy experience is a plus, especially in ICU, emergency, behavioral health, or orthopedic settings
• Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to work flexible shifts
