License/Certifications: RN License (State or Compact), BLS, NRP, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC C-EFM certification, or instructor/trainer certifications
Experience: 1+ year in labor and delivery or perinatal nursing preferred

What Youll Do:
Provide skilled nursing care for laboring patients, including antepartum, delivery, and postpartum care
Attend to newborn assessments and initial neonatal evaluations
Administer medications and treatments following protocols
Monitor patient progress and respond to clinical changes promptly
Document patient histories, care provided, and educational interactions
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain compliance with AWHONN standards for nurse-patient ratios and care practices
What You Need: Required:
Active RN license in Louisiana or a compact state
BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications
Certification from AWHONN (Intermediate FHM, Instructor, or NCC C-EFM) or equivalent
Minimum 1 year of labor and delivery/perinatal nursing experience
Preferred:
Recent practice in a perinatal or labor & delivery setting
Completion of a Perinatal RN Residency or similar program
Ability to work independently and handle complex clinical situations
