RF Engineer

Telephonics has an opening for a RF Engineer to design, develop, and testelectronic assemblies and systems from requirements with a focus on RF engineering. Job will include all aspects of development including coordinating the fabrication, integration, installation and repair of the electronics developed. Provide technical support to manufacturing personnel to ensure a successful transition to production of the developed product. Must be able to write and review specifications, Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs), Design Verification Test Procedures, etc.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree in EngineeringEXPERIENCE
• Minimum of 10 years directly related experience.
• Must have experience with RF system level design (transmitters, receivers, frequency generation/conversion), active passive component design (amplifiers, mixers, power dividers, etc.). Must be familiar with radar systems and antennas.
• Must be familiar with RF & Microwave measurement techniques and test equipment such as Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzer, Power Meters, Oscilloscopes, etc.
• The ability to use the following RF simulation tools such as ANSY HFSS & SBR+ (a.k.a. SAVANT), AWR MWO or ADS, AWR VSS would be a plus.
• Must have good communication skills and knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Knowledge Radar a big plus.
• Candidate must have a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a Secret Clearance, which includes U.S. Citizenship.
