Woodview Elementary School is seeking a 4K Classroom Aide starting with the 2026-2027 school year.

This position develops and maintains excellent relationships with students, parents/families, and supervisors. Finds great enjoyment in working with children and teachers within a school environment. Approaches work with a sense of optimism, professionalism, and positive energy. Is highly skilled at working to develop the social/emotional and cognitive maturity of young children. Is willing to work hard and go above and beyond to be an integral member of our school Community. Fosters the development of a positive and inclusive classroom and school culture. Works in collaboration with the teacher, other staff members, and supervisors to ensure that young children have a positive, enriching, and dynamic first experience/impression of school.

This is a 17.50-hour-per-week position with a regular schedule of approximately 12:15pm - 3:45pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Work individually or in small groups with students at the direction of the classroom teacher.
  • Prepare materials for the classroom teacher or students.
  • Assist the classroom teacher in monitoring and enforcing the classroom or individual discipline programs.
  • Reinforce specific student instructional and behavior skills under the direction of the classroom teacher.
  • Maintain records and complete reports as requested.
  • Support substitute teachers in the classroom by providing pertinent information regarding students and the classroom.
  • Hall, bus, playground, and other supervision as assigned or as requested by the principal.
  • Support teachers and/or students in classroom situations other than regularly assigned.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all matters.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Woodview Elementary School serves approximately 400 students and is part of the 9th-ranked K-12 school district in the state of Wisconsin. The Woodview Office is staffed by one full-time Administrative Assistant and two part-time administrative assistants in charge of running the day-to-day operations of the school office and working on special projects.
