Description

Little Spartans Child Development Center Inc., in collaboration with the School District of McFarland, will operate a 4K program within its child care center. The 4K teacher, as a Little Spartans Child Development Center Inc., employee, follows district curriculum and assessment procedures.

Little Spartans Child Development Center Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic, positive, and creative 4K teacher. This is a full-time position with the selected candidate working 8 hours each day with daily student contact time from 8:20AM-11:20AM and 12:05PM -3:05PM. This individual should have a passion for working with preschool children ages 4-5 years old with a strong command of developmentally appropriate teaching and classroom management skills. Preferred candidates will demonstrate exceptional competencies in:

• Working knowledge of Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards (WMELS) and Wisconsin Common Core State Standards (CCSS)
• Experience in early childhood development, particularly in the areas of physical, social/emotional, and cognitive development
• Developmental approach to readiness skills/concepts for early literacy and math
• Differentiated approach to instruction and assessment practices
• Effective communication skills and collaborative working relationships with all stakeholders

The candidate must possess or be eligible for a regular education license that covers early or PK through the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI).
