About Our School
Traver Elementary School is a historic, tight-knit 4K-8 rural school district located just south of beautiful Lake Geneva. Established in 1837 as a one-room schoolhouse, we have spent nearly two centuries cultivating a rich educational tradition.
We pride ourselves on maintaining small class sizes (our largest class is just 13 students!). This unique environment allows our teachers to truly connect with every child, understand their individual learning styles, and foster a supportive, family-like community. Core Mission of a Traver Teacher
As our 4K teacher, your primary focus will be to lay the vital foundation for our students'' future academic journeys. Your core responsibilities include:
Creating a Dynamic Environment: Develop a flexible 4K program and a classroom environment that is highly favorable to early childhood learning and personal growth.
Building Rapport: Establish strong, positive relationships with pupils to motivate them to develop the essential skills, attitudes, and foundational knowledge needed for upper-grade success.
Collaborating with Community: Build open, effective relationships with parents, families, and fellow staff members to support each child's holistic development.
Differentiating Instruction: Tailor teaching methods to align with each pupil''s unique abilities and developmental milestones.
