Position Title: 4K Teacher's Aide
Job Classification: 10-month employee
Reports to: Principal
Position Summary:
The 4K Teacher's Aide will support the lead teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered learning environment for 4K students. This role assists with daily classroom activities, student supervision, and instructional support to help foster early childhood development spiritually, socially, emotionally, and academically.

- Experience working with young children, preferably in an early childhood or school setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff
- Organized and adaptable in a dynamic classroom environment
Essential Job Functions:
Classroom Support
- Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom instruction and activities
- Help prepare and organize classroom materials, supplies, and learning centers
- Support implementation of lesson plans and activities
- Work with small groups or individual students to reinforce learning concepts
- Encourage student participation and engagement in classroom activities
Student Supervision & Care
- Provide active supervision of students throughout the school day
- Assist with arrival, dismissal, recess, lunch, and transitions between activities
- Help students with basic needs such as restroom use, handwashing, and snack/lunch routines
- Promote positive behavior and assist with classroom management under the direction of the teacher
- Model appropriate Christian behavior and conflict resolution
Classroom Environment
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom
- Assist in setting up and taking down classroom activities and centers
- Ensure materials and supplies are stocked and ready for use
- Support classroom routines and structure to create a consistent environment
Communication & Collaboration
- Work closely with the lead teacher to support student needs and classroom goals
- Communicate effectively with staff regarding student progress and concerns
- Assist in preparing materials or communications for parents as directed by the teacher
- Support a positive and respectful classroom and school culture
Health & Safety
- Follow all school policies and procedures related to health and safety
- Assist in responding to minor student injuries and notify the teacher as needed
- Participate in safety drills (fire, lockdown, tornado, etc.)
- Maintain awareness of student allergies and health concerns
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with special classroom events, activities, and school programs
- Support field trips and other off-campus activities as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by the lead teacher or administration
