Duties

We are seeking an energetic, student-centered Physical Education Teacher to lead engaging PE instruction for students in grades 45. The ideal candidate will promote physical fitness, teamwork, healthy habits, and positive sportsmanship while creating a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement standards-based physical education lessons aligned with Illinois learning standards
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and active classroom culture
• Teach fundamental movement skills, team sports, fitness concepts, and cooperative activities
• Assess student progress and maintain accurate records
• Promote student wellness, safety, and appropriate physical activity
• Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administration
• Supervise students during PE classes and school-related activities
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to support student success

Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or related field
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Physical Education endorsement
• Experience teaching elementary students preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred
