4th Grade Long Term Substitute Teacher

Job Description:

Osceola Intermediate School is seeking a highly qualified and energetic educator for a long-term 4th grade teaching position from approximately November 2026 to February 1, 2027. Osceola Intermediate serves approximately 425 students in grades 1-4 and is committed to fostering a supportive, student-centered learning environment.

We are looking for a data-driven educator who understands the strong connection between social-emotional learning and academic success and is committed to supporting the whole child. The ideal candidate has a passion for teaching across all subject areas, builds strong and positive relationships with students, and is dedicated to helping all learners reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assume full responsibility for classroom instruction during the teacher''s absence.

• Maintain accurate attendance, gradebook, and other required student records.

• Plan and deliver high-quality, standards-based math instruction aligned to district curriculum

• Plan and deliver high-quality, standards-based reading instruction aligned to district curriculum

• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic and social-emotional needs of all learners

• Use data to inform instruction, monitor student progress, and adjust teaching practices accordingly

• Create a positive, inclusive, and student-centered classroom environment

• Build strong relationships with students to support engagement, motivation, and growth

• Ability to relate with students through responsive classroom and PBIS practices.

• Participate and advise in the problem-solving process for students of concern.

• Knowledge and ability to participate in the RTI process.

• Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Collaborate with multiple teams, such as the Leadership Team, PLC Leaders and PLC's, to help all students reach their highest potential.

• Serve as a member of the Grade Level PLC's to assist with vertical alignment.

• Must be able to maintain a safe, respectful classroom environment and make a positive and substantial contribution to the school and district.

• Perform other duties as needed.
