Position Overview

The Team and Content Lead serves as both a classroom teacher and a grade-level instructional leader. This hybrid role is responsible for facilitating collaborative planning, supporting instructional excellence, and ensuring alignment with school-wide expectations. The Team and Content Lead is a key driver of student achievement and teacher development within their grade.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and facilitate all grade-level content meetings, fostering a positive and productive team culture.
  • Monitor the completion and quality of instructional exemplars for the grade.
  • Provide timely, actionable feedback on instructional planning to grade-level teachers.
  • Model effective instructional strategies in classrooms as needed.
  • Observe grade-level teachers and offer constructive feedback to support growth.
  • Conduct weekly gradebook checks to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Communicate and ensure implementation of school-wide culture and instructional expectations within the grade.
  • Review and analyze data trends with the grade-level curriculum leader to inform instruction and intervention1.
  • Complete all previously outlined team lead responsibilities.
  • Fulfill all classroom teacher duties as described in the teacher job description.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Valid teaching certification.
  • Prior experience in teacher leadership, instructional coaching, or grade-level/content leadership strongly preferred.
  • Evidence of effective classroom instruction and student achievement gains.
