Duties

Lincoln Trail Elementary School is accepting applications for a 4th Grade Teacher position beginning with the 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering standards-based instruction aligned to the Illinois Learning Standards and supporting the academic and social-emotional development of elementary students.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction in all core subject areas.
  • Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student growth and achievement.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of all learners.
  • Assess student learning using a variety of formative and summative assessments and use data to guide instruction.
  • Collaborate with grade-level teams, specialists, and support staff to support student success and enhance learning.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
  • Implement district curriculum and instructional initiatives.
  • Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school-related activities.

Qualifications

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Elementary Education endorsement.
  • Strong knowledge of elementary instructional practices and curriculum.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to establish positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.

Salary/Benefits

Please see the attached current 2025-2026 Salary Schedule and summary of 2026 Employee Benefits (our existing 4-year collective bargaining agreement will expire at the end of the 2025-2026 school year and we will be negotiating a new agreement that will begin with the 2026-2027 school year).
