DESCRIPTION

The East Troy Community School District has a fourth grade teaching position available beginning in the 2026-27 school year. The successful candidate will possess strong background knowledge, skills, and attitudes that support personalized learning by demonstrating the ability to:

  • Support and develop conditions and practices that ensure a "learner empowered" environment and promote the district's 6 Cs - creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, content, and curiosity
  • Align practices that keep students at the center of learning through student voice, formative assessments, feedback, self-reflection, activities, reporting of student learning, etc.
  • Analyze assessment results and use data to drive instruction and ensure student learning
  • Work collaboratively and cooperatively in a Professional Learning Community to promote continued student growth
  • Design unit plans/activities through the use of content knowledge, knowledge of appropriate state standards, an understanding of student needs, and available resources
  • Differentiate instruction and integrate technology
  • Establish a well-managed learning environment built on respect and rapport
  • Incorporate RtI and PBIS into the culture and learning environment
  • Communicate high expectations for learning by ALL students
  • Display strong speaking and listening skills
  • Act as a reflective practitioner to consider effectiveness, set goals, and ensure continued professional growth
  • Seek out and participate in professional development opportunities
  • Demonstrate honesty, integrity, confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  • Develop positive home/school relationships with diverse family structures
  • Contribute to growing a positive school culture for students, staff, and community
  • Support the school community beyond the classroom through committees and possible coaching roles
