Pave Talent is hiring for an ISO 13485 certified medical device machine shop in the South Bay. They machine titanium and stainless orthopedic implants, bone screws, and surgical instruments. Clean, climate-controlled floor running Fanuc-controlled 5-axis mills, vertical and horizontal, with Mastercam on the programming side.

If you are looking for a straight 40-hour week, or you have only run 3-axis production parts, this one is not for you.

- 1st shift, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday through Friday

- A working lead seat, you set the standard on the floor, not from a desk

- 5-axis vertical and horizontal mills on Fanuc controls, some palletized

- Titanium and stainless implants and instruments held to medical tolerances

- Set up and run 5-axis mills, dial in fixturing, tooling, offsets, feeds and speeds

- Read blueprints and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) callouts on tight-tolerance parts

- Run first-piece and in-process inspection with micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and a coordinate measuring machine (CMM)

- Troubleshoot finish, taper, and dimensional issues before they turn into scrap

- Guide and train the machinists on the mill side, set the bar for setups and documentation

- Edit programs at the control and make your own fixturing calls

- 5+ years of CNC milling experience with hands-on 5-axis setup, simultaneous or 3+2

- Comfortable editing at a Fanuc control, not just running cycle start

- Strong blueprint and GD&T reading on tight-tolerance work

- Available for 1st shift and willing to commit to mandatory overtime, 2 hours daily plus 5 hours most Saturdays

- Mastercam programming

- Medical device or aerospace background, especially titanium

- Palletized mills and building your own fixturing

- SolidWorks

- Experience leading or training other machinists

: Up to $40 per hour depending on experience

: 1st shift, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday through Friday

: Mandatory minimum 2 hours daily plus 5 hours most Saturdays
