Key Responsibilities

CNC Programming

• Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs for 5-axis CNC mills
• Program using Mastercam and CAM software
• Work with Fanuc controls and machine programming requirements
• Troubleshoot programming errors and adjust programs as needed
• Support efficient production through accurate and reliable programs

Machine Setup & Operation

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines and lathes as needed
• Support production of precision machined parts
• Perform tooling changes, offsets, and adjustments
• Work with palletized 5-axis mills when required
• Help ensure smooth machine operation and production flow

Blueprint Reading & Engineering Support

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, geometry, and machining requirements
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to understand part requirements
• Work with CAD software, including SolidWorks, Vericut, and preferably CATIA
• Apply machining knowledge to support manufacturability and process improvements

Inspection & Quality Control

• Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality
• Verify parts meet drawing, tolerance, and production requirements
• Maintain strong attention to detail throughout the machining process

Troubleshooting & Shop Floor Support

• Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and programming issues
• Help resolve production challenges quickly and effectively
• Serve as a strong technical resource and shop floor leader
• Perform routine machine maintenance to support optimal performance

What We’re Looking For

• Highly experienced with 5-axis CNC mill programming
• Strong with Mastercam and CNC machining processes
• A confident shop floor leader
• Detail-oriented and precise
• Skilled at troubleshooting and problem-solving
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Strong at reading blueprints and understanding geometry
• Focused on quality, accuracy, and production efficiency

Qualifications / Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of CNC programming experience with Mastercam required
• 10+ years of machining experience preferred
• Experience programming 5-axis CNC mills required
• Experience with palletized 5-axis mills is a huge plus
• Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls
• SolidWorks and Vericut experience preferred
• CATIA experience preferred
• Strong blueprint reading and geometry knowledge
• Experience with milling machines, lathes, and machining equipment
• Ability to use micrometers, calipers, and precision inspection tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and support a team environment

Schedule & Physical Requirements

• Full-time, long-term opportunity
• Location: Hawthorne, CA area
• Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
• Must be comfortable standing for extended periods
• Ability to work around CNC machines, tooling, and manufacturing equipment
• Frequent use of measuring tools, hand tools, and machining equipment
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
