We power breakthroughs in medical, aerospace, industrial, and scientific markets by pairing advanced manufacturing systems with modern software and an engaged, values-driven team.
A Day in This Role
You arrive to a humming automated cell: an FMC system feeding several Okuma milling centers. After a quick review of the queue on our proprietary software, you load fixtures, verify offsets, and kick off a 5-axis run. Throughout the day you move between 4-axis and 5-axis work, interpreting engineering prints, confirming critical features with micrometers and calipers, and reviewing Zeiss CMM reports. You capture quality data in our MES and 1Factory quality platform, collaborate with teammates, and suggest tweaks that shave seconds while boosting repeatability.
What You’ll Do
- Operate and monitor 4-axis and 5-axis CNC mills within an FMC environment featuring multiple Okuma milling centers
- Read and follow on-screen instructions and blueprints in our proprietary software
- Set up machines for production runs and validate first-article quality
- Interpret engineering drawings to define inspection requirements
- Manually inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges; interpret CMM (Zeiss) results
- Record production and quality data within our MES and 1Factory systems
- Adhere to safety policies and contribute ideas for continuous improvement
What You Bring
- Working knowledge of 4-axis and 5-axis milling operations
- General understanding of CNC production workflows and inspection practices
- Ability to comprehend blueprints and follow software-driven instructions
- Strong attention to detail, clear written and verbal communication, and a team-first mindset
- Comfort with Office 365 (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Proficiency in quality inspection and production machine setups
Preferred
- Hands-on experience with Okuma CNC mills
- Familiarity with Fastems FPC or comparable automated machining technologies
Tools and Technologies You’ll Touch
