Pay & Benefits
  • Hourly Rate: $53.60

What You’ll Do
  • Perform technically proficient 2D, M-mode, and Doppler cardiac exams on adult and pediatric patients.
  • Coordinate exam scheduling, patient transportation, and billing information accuracy.
  • Assist cardiologists during exams by preparing and measuring M-modes, exchanging pertinent information to aid diagnosis.
  • Manage delivery, pickup, and distribution of dictations in a timely manner.
  • Respond to patient needs during procedures and report any changes in patient condition.
  • Maintain and order Echo supplies, keep exam rooms clean and organized.
  • Log patient and exam records accurately and faithfully.
  • Participate in departmental performance improvement activities.
  • Provide on-call coverage for emergency echo exams, as established by department policies.
  • Ensure equipment quality control and coordinate repair as needed.
  • Stay current on advances in echocardiography and seek mentorship or advice to enhance skills.
  • Assist with additional cardiac procedures as needed.

What You Need
  • Valid ARDMS/CCI registration or registry-eligible status; comparable national accreditation accepted
  • State of New Mexico Echo Sonographer License
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Minimum 2 years of echocardiogram experience preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and manual dexterity skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under stressful conditions and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
