What Youll Do
- Assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients in the OR
- Prepare patient skin and maintain aseptic techniques
- Transport patients to/from the operating room and position them appropriately
- Identify and care for biological specimens
- Set up operating room tables, instruments, and supplies for various surgical procedures
- Scrub in proficiently for multiple specialties, including Transplants, Neurosurgery, Urology, and Robotics (highly preferred)
- Pass instruments, sutures, and assist the physician during surgery
- Maintain a sterile environment, implement safety protocols, and adhere to hospital policies
- Collaborate effectively as part of a surgical team
- Monitor and control the surgical environment for safety and efficiency
- Follow all procedures related to sterilization and instrument processing
What You Need
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Surgical Technology program or accredited LVN/LPN program
- BLS certification from AHA
- Certified Surgical Technologist or LVN/LPN license (certification to be obtained within 180 days of graduation)
- 2+ years of experience preferred
- Ability to scrub in multiple surgical specialties
- Strong adherence to safety and aseptic techniques
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
