Job Description
We are preparing for growth in our Mount Prospect Specialty Pharmacy and are interested in speaking with Pharmacists that are interested in working within the compounding sector. As a Compounding Pharmacist, you will be working with cutting edge technology, compounding specialized and complex therapies within the clean room environment. You will utilize your clinical knowledge providing our patients with the smooth service and delivery of their medication to their homes. Make a difference by bringing your personal touch and clinical experiences that will support our patient’s one on one care.

Key responsibilities:
- Direct daily oversight of all compounding activities
- Maintaining the pharmacy clean room suite to USP 797 and 800 requirements
- Documentation of IV admixture and clean room suite sterility testing
- Inventory management and storage, complete appropriate documentation, such as labels, log sheets and reports

Required Qualifications
* Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
* Active licensure as a practicing pharmacist in Illinois.
* Familiar with JCAHO standards, State and Federal regulations.
* Ability to work effectively with minimal direction and as part of interdisciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications
* At least 6 months of previous IV compounding experience
* Sterile Compounding for Aseptic Technique (SCAT) Training Course Completion
* Specialty/PBM experience a plus
* Licenses in multiple states or ability to obtain a plus

Education
Degree in pharmacy from an accredited School of Pharmacy and must hold a current license as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Illinois.
