570 Surveillance Operator

POSITION SUMMARY

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Surveillance Operator observes casino activities and protects property assets.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Observes the action of all Pit, Slot and other areas as assigned: Soft Count, Hard Count, Vault and cages.
2. Observes performance of employees in regard to guest relations and adherence to policies and procedures.
3. Reports immediately any abnormal activity that requires prompt action to the Shift Supervisor.
4. Maintains a daily written account of any and all activities occurring during a shift.
5. Is familiar with the current list of undesirables maintained by the Surveillance Manager and remains alert to any undesirables or cheaters in the Casino and reports their presence to the Shift Supervisor.
6. Reports any accident, illness or safety hazard observed to the Shift Supervisor immediately.
7. Safeguards all confidential information and does not discuss any activities with other employees.
8. Strives to maintain a complete knowledge of procedures and policies.
9. Develops basic knowledge of card counting systems and familiarizes self with other methods of cheating.
10. Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole.
11. Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training.
12. Maintains confidentiality at all times.
13. Is sensitive to Native American Culture.
14. Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations.
15. Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
16. Performs other duties as assigned.
