Position Begins: 2026-2027 School Year
5th/6th Grade Math Teacher
The New Lisbon School District is seeking a highly motivated and student-centered 5th/6th grade math teacher to join our growing learning community. This position will focus on building strong mathematical foundations while developing students' confidence, problem-solving skills, and conceptual understanding.
We are actively engaged in the PLC process and are looking for an educator who believes collaboration is not optional, clarity matters, and all students can learn at high levels.
Key Responsibilities
Teach math to students in grades 5-6
Design instruction aligned to essential standards, learning intentions, and success criteria
Use formative assessment practices to monitor learning and respond to student needs
Run at least one intervention group during WIN (What I Need) time. The intervention will be based on 6th grade needs and could be math or it could be literacy based. The intervention will be targeted and explicit- with training provided and continuous support given.
Participate fully in collaborative planning, data analysis, and collective responsibility for student results
Create a classroom environment that is inclusive, structured, and focused on student growth
Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues

Qualifications
Wisconsin teaching license in Elementary Education or Mathematics (or ability to obtain licensure)
Experience teaching upper elementary or middle-level math preferred
Knowledge of or willingness to learn about Professional Learning Communities
Strong instructional, organizational, and communication skills
