Qualifications/Requirements:
- Possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Possess a valid Michigan teacher certificate
- Appropriate English endorsement
- Consent to/pass a background check
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify the needs of assigned students through formal and informal assessments
- Plan, deliver, and assess learner instruction
- Maintain a flexible and adaptable attitude while working in the classroom and with other staff
- Maintain knowledge of the academic, social and emotional needs of learners
- Use research-based instructional strategies that address the full range of cognitive levels
- Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness in adjusting instruction to meet student needs
- Engage students in varied experiences that meet diverse needs and promote social, emotional, and academic growth
- Maintain regular communication with parents utilizing email, phone calls, and conferences
- Maintain accurate and complete records in compliance with school district regulations and legal requirements
Salary and Benefits:
- According to the negotiated Master Agreement with the Bellevue Education Association
