Processing Cook (Cheese Cook)

Location: New Ulm, MN – Home of Velveeta Cheese & Kraft Deli Deluxe
Shift: 2nd/Afternoon | Monday–Friday (Weekend rotations required)

Your Impact

As a Processing Cook, you’ll be at the heart of production—cooking cheese for multiple lines and ensuring we deliver the highest quality to millions of tables. This role handles up to 255,000 lbs. of product per shift, so precision, focus, and performance matter.

What You’ll Do

Production:

• Follow production and cooker schedules
• Steam out and operate cookers
• Monitor Panelview screens, flow meters, emulsifiers
• Add condiments and wet mixes with exacting standards
• Complete cook sheets and track all traceability documentation
• Train and support new team members

Sanitation:

• Maintain a spotless work area
• Assist with changeovers and boil-outs
• Support weekly deep cleans and system resets

Maintenance & Quality:

• Monitor steam gauges, temperatures, and HACCP checks
• Partner with Lab on moisture control and quality assurance

Equipment You’ll Operate:
Feeder hoppers, Panelview screens, scales, cookers, DCO batch tanks

Physical & Working Conditions:

• Lift up to 60 lbs. occasionally
• Fast-paced, multi-line operations
• Warm (80°F) & humid conditions at times

Training & Development

3-week hands-on training with ongoing development through Ownerversity
Expect to be 90% competent in 4 months
