Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a motor grader (Cat 672 or similar) for fine grading, road construction, and subgrade preparation
  • Utilize GPS/grade control systems to maintain accurate elevation and alignment
  • Read and interpret digital plans and site models
  • Perform daily equipment inspections (pre- and post-shift)
  • Coordinate with surveyors and crew to ensure grade accuracy
  • Maintain proper blade control for smooth, uniform surfaces
  • Follow all safety procedures and jobsite protocols
  • Report equipment issues promptly
  • Maintain production efficiency while minimizing rework

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience operating a motor grader
  • Experience with GPS systems (Trimble, Topcon, Leica, etc.)
  • Ability to read grade stakes and plans
  • Understanding of grading principles
  • Strong safety knowledge and awareness
