Position Summary
The Commercial Sales Manager leads Liberty Moving & Storage's commercial sales department, with responsibility for team performance, proposal and pricing functions, established client relationships, and coordination with operations from proposal through project completion. This is a management position and does not include prospecting, lead generation, or individual sales responsibilities.
Compensation: $100,000–$120,000 annually, commensurate with experience
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Team Leadership
• Recruit, coach, and develop commercial sales team members.
• Establish goals and performance expectations, conduct coaching sessions, and maintain accountability.
• Oversee departmental scheduling and timekeeping.
Proposals, Pricing, and Contracts
• Oversee proposals, presentations, and RFP responses.
• Oversee pricing structures, job costing, and truckload calculations.
• Manage contracts and Certificates of Insurance.
Client Relationships and Operations Coordination
• Manage established client relationships and monitor customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure seamless project transitions.
Reporting and Analysis
• Manage CRM reporting and analyze performance metrics and sales trends.
• Support departmental marketing initiatives.
Qualifications
Required
• Minimum of five years of sales experience.
• Prior management or supervisory experience leading a sales team.
• Proven record of business development and revenue growth.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and people-management skills.
• Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication abilities.
• Ability to build long-term client and strategic partner relationships.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
Preferred
• Industry experience in commercial moving, logistics, transportation, or business services.
• Knowledge of commercial moving estimating, pricing models, and proposal development.
