Fluids & Spectroscopy Lab Technical Analyst

##### is seeking an Associate or Mid-Level MP&P

(Chemical/Contamination) Technician (Level 2 or 3) to join the Fluids and Spectroscopy Lab Team in

Everett, Washington. This is a contract position for six (6) months.

The diverse team of subject matter experts applies engineering knowledge of materials, processes, and

physics engineering disciplines (materials science, chemistry, physics) to support the engineering,

manufacture, and sustainment of Boeing products regarding the design, production, application, and

maintenance of mechanical and structural systems.

Position responsibilities:

• Performs quality assurance (QA) testing of fluids and lubricants.

• Performs tests to qualify new tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes to meet

requirements.

• Maintains laboratory equipment including calibration certification.

• Maintains a clean, safe, and compliant laboratory environment including implementation of 5S

requirements and laboratory standard operating procedures (SOP’s)

• Prepare laboratory reagents and standards used to calibrate and/or verify instrument

performance.

• Supports, coordinates, and conducts complex analysis of failed parts and processes to reduce or

eliminate future failures. Generates test plans, identifies, and categorizes failure, determines

root cause and documents results and recommendations.

• Supports the proposal, development, and validation of revisions to procedures and

specifications.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry

• Laboratory experience operating analytical test equipment including XRF, pH meters,

Automated Titrators and/or manual Titration practices, GC and or GC/MS.

• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Power Point, Excel, and Word)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience documenting and clearly communicating test results to customers.

• Experience performing laboratory testing to standards (i.e. ASTM, SAE)

• Experience interacting with customers to coordinate testing requirements and schedule.

Shift Work Statement:

• Training (2-3 months):

o 1st shift (7:00 am – 3:30pm)

o 5-day work week, 8-hour shifts

o Monday through Friday

• After Training:

o 2nd shift (10:00am or later to 8:30 pm)

o 4-day work week, 10-hour shifts

o Wednesday through Saturday
