Job Title: Software Engineer –Test & Verification 4 (Senior Level)
Location: Cambridge, MA (Fully Onsite)
Duration: 12 Months
Pay Rate: $86.53/hr
Shift Timings: 9: 00 AM –5: 00 PM, Full-Time


Job Description:
Seeking Senior Test & Verification Engineer to provide engineering support for software initiatives involving CI/CD pipelines, AI tools, and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing. The role involves designing, configuring, and executing software test plans, developing automated test scripts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and reliability of software systems in an aerospace environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and configure test environments (hardware, software, and network) to replicate production conditions.
  • Design and execute test plans, cases, and scenarios to validate software functionality, performance, and safety.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to increase testing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with CI/CD/DevSecOps teams to integrate software deployment with HIL testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve defects, issues, and vulnerabilities found during testing.
  • Maintain test documentation, metrics, and artifacts in accordance with security and privacy protocols.
  • Provide guidance on HIL setup and configuration.
  • Optional/Preferred: Work with avionics communication protocols (MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, CAN) and FPGA testing.
 
Skills and Education Required:
Must-Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related field
  • 3+ years of software engineering experience (Master’s +1 year acceptable)
  • HIL testing experience
  • NI TestStand, NI VeriStand, NI LabVIEW, or equivalent HIL platforms
  • Experience with PXIe hardware integration
  • Strong programming skills (C/C++, Python, MATLAB)
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
  • Onsite availability in Cambridge, MA
 
Preferred:
  • Familiarity with FPGA testing/architecture
  • Avionics communication protocols (MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, CAN)
  • Experience with automated test and verification frameworks
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted testing or CI/CD pipelines
  • Ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance post-start
