TITLE: Packer (2nd Shift)

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Packages and inspects materials and products.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbersAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variablesEnsure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.High school diploma or equivalent, no prior experience or training

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs highly repetitive trimming, flaming, assembly, inspection, counting, and packaging of injection and/or blow molded components and partsVisually inspects product for defects as defined in the QAS (Quality Assurance Standard)Counts parts and individual packages within cases either by stack height or weight as requiredEnsures that cases are labeled correctly, in the proper sequence, stamped with an operator/packer stamp, and stacks cases on palletsPerforms secondary operations as requiredReworks/sorts defective product as necessaryMaintains a steady rate of work as to meet or exceed standard labor costsEnsure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessaryCapable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:

Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat.Loud noise level that requires hearing protection
