6th Grade Reading/Language Arts Teacher

MIDDLE SCHOOL 6th Grade READING/LANGUAGE ARTS TEACHER

Frankfort Middle School is looking for a passionate and dedicated Middle School Reading/Language Arts Teacher to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students with responsibilities that include but are not limited to:

• Developing and implementing engaging lesson plan aligned to the IDOE ELA frameworks and blueprints
• Assess student learning through various methods and use the data to drive further instruction
• Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and achievements
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional strategies and share best practices
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners

Frankfort Middle School is a school within the Community Schools of Frankfort and is located in a suburban area midway between Indianapolis and Lafayette, Indiana. FMS enrolls approximately 700 students where we are the Frankfort Hot Dogs. We are delighted to be in the 'Top 10 School Mascots' in the nation each year.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in English Education or Elementary Education preferred. Related fields will be considered.
• ELA or ELEd Teaching licensure preferred but not mandatory
• Non-licensed candidates will be considered and will be required to apply for an Emergency Teaching Permit
• Positive teaching attitude with excellent communication skills
