We are currently seeking a highly dedicated, motivated, full-time middle-level educator to serve the student community at Lake Denoon Middle School for the 2026-27 school year and beyond. A Wisconsin DPI certification to teach 6th grade is required. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate a student-centered philosophy of education and a broad repertoire of instructional strategies, differentiation/personalized learning techniques, and disciplinary literacy.

Candidates must:

  • Familiarity with Common Core and state standards in all relevant subject area disciplines;
  • Present lesson plans that are relevant, rigorous, and integrate curriculum;
  • Demonstrate creativity, enthusiasm, and a high degree of energy;
  • Have effective listening skills to engage in professional discourse while striving for consensus;
  • Have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators;
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the tenets of a professional learning community;
  • Demonstrate the ability to analyze, synthesize, and implement data that supports and enhances student academic learning;
  • Demonstrate and understand the use of technologies that can further higher-order thinking skills;
  • Have excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills;
  • Demonstrate the ability to provide a safe, positive and engaging learning environment for students;
  • Maintain a lifelong learning commitment through credentials which reflect post-secondary training, conference attendance, and membership in professional and civic organizations;
  • Have a positive approach to problem solving, collaboration, teamwork, and respect;
  • Work effectively with students of varying abilities within a co-teaching classroom, a small group, and/or individual setting;
  • Utilize data-driven decision making to cooperatively plan an engaging, standards-based, responsive, and differentiated instructional program that addresses the academic deficiencies of students.
