Summerland Public School District has a potential opening for a 9-12 English language arts teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. A valid Nebraska certificate or the ability to obtain one is required for this position. Any endorsement areas will be considered. Extra-curricular sponsorship and coaching are available.
Summerland Public School is seeking an innovative and energetic individual to join our educational team and deliver high-quality, hands-on, and engaging education to our students in a new, cutting-edge PK-12 facility. Become an active member of the ELA teacher team, collaborating on curriculum development, data analysis, and instructional strategies.
Summerland is a district of 400+ students that is a recent consolidation of Clearwater, Ewing, and Orchard. The building is centrally located between the three communities at the intersection of Clearwater-Orchard Road and Summerland Road. Summerland is located approximately 50 miles west of Norfolk and 30 miles east of ONeill.

Additional Information Summerland Public Schools base salary is $42,250 with a 4.25 x 4.5 index. Teachers with 3 or fewer years of previous experience will start on Step 3 at $45,841. All years of experience and relevant graduate credit are accepted. The district pays the full premium for BC/BS Health Insurance, Single Dental, and Long-Term Disability.
