JOB DESCRIPTION
Livonia Public Schools is committed to molding creative and forward-thinking students who are persons of character and contributing members of society. We are seeking a positive and impactful leader in the area of secondary mathematics and science teaching and learning. The 7-12 Mathematics and Science Coordinator position will provide leadership to coordinate the development of the 7-12 mathematics and science curriculum; plan and implement effective professional learning programs; identify and communicate research-based, effective instructional and assessment strategies and practices; plan, monitor and evaluate student assessments and analyze assessment results; and select and plan for purchase of print and electronic textbooks, paper and online instructional resources and other content area materials. The nature of the responsibilities will require on-going planning and coordination with other coordinators, school and district administrators, and directors. The 7-12 Mathematics/Science Coordinator reports to the Chief Academic Officer.
DISTRICT OVERVIEW
Livonia Public Schools employs approximately 1,800 staff members, serving approximately 13,000 students pre-K post secondary. There are 15 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, 3 high schools, 1 career technical center, 1 early childhood center and 1 vocational and transition center in the School District. The annual budget for Livonia Public Schools is $195 million, with a state funding of $10,300 per pupil.

The district pays 100% of the premium for all employees.
Long-term disability coverage:

The work year, salary, and fringe benefits will be consistent with the current agreement between the Board of Education and the LEADS bargaining group. This position will remain open minimally through September 1, 2026 for consideration of employment for the 26-27 school year.
