Description
MUST HAVE CREDENTIALS IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION
Plan both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy.
Meet the emotional, social, physical and cognitive needs of each child.
Encourage assistants to contribute to curriculum planning.
Complete assessment of children's development.
Report progress of children to parents in through parent-teacher conferences.
Maintain daily open communication with parents.
Document incidents and accidents.
Maintain confidentiality.
Report any suspect abuse to supervisor.
Arrange a classroom environment in accordance to program goals and philosophy.
Maintain a safe and healthy environment.
Inspect and replace damaged or lost materials.
Attend in-service and professional development training and staff meetings.
Supervise assistants, aides and volunteers in the classroom.
Keep all appropriate records such as records, attendance and time sheets.
Maintain compliance with all applicable licensing regulations.
Maintain compliance with Quality Assurance Best Practice Standards.
Responsible for outcome of state and Quality Assurance inspections and reviews for your classroom.
Know rules and regulations for state minimum standards and Quality Assurance Best Practice Standards. Operate your classroom and guide your assistant in accordance with these standards.
Maintain compliance with Quality Assurance Best Practice Standards as well as state minimum standards, health, and federal OSHA regulations. Keep all appropriate daily records to satisfy Kids ‘R’ Kids, state, health and federal requirements.
Additional duties as assigned by owner and director.
