BCBA Director of Clinical Services – Lead with Heart, Inspire Change  

Location: San Luis Obispo. CA. 
Job Type: Full-Time  

Position Summary  

The Director of Clinical Services is a key leadership role responsible for driving clinical excellence, operational performance, and team development within the clinic. This role partners closely with regional leadership to expand services, oversee clinical programming, and mentor a high-performing team of clinicians.  

You’ll play a critical role in shaping both clinical outcomes and business success—leading with strategy, accountability, and a passion for quality care.

What You’ll Do  

Lead Clinical & Operational Excellence  

  • Oversee clinic performance including service delivery, utilization, census, and staffing   
  • Ensure clinical teams meet billable targets and service expectations   
  • Monitor and improve clinical quality, supervision, and treatment outcomes   
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, HIPAA standards, and regulations   

Develop & Mentor Teams  

  • Supervise, coach, and mentor BCBAs, Supervisors, and clinical staff   
  • Support professional development through training, feedback, and performance management   
  • Lead provider meetings to address barriers, cancellations, and service utilization   
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture   

Drive Business Performance  

  • Own clinic P&L and key financial metrics   
  • Analyze KPIs and implement data-driven improvements   
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and growth strategy   

Deliver Clinical Oversight  

  • Provide case supervision and consultation   
  • Oversee assessments, behavior plans, and treatment programming   
  • Ensure timely completion of documentation and reports   
  • Partner with families to support engagement and clinical progress   

  

What We’re Looking For  

  • Active BCBA certification required   
  • Master’s Degree in ABA, Psychology, Special Education, or related field   
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical ABA experience   
  • Minimum 2 years of BCBA supervision experience   
  • Experience mentoring staff and leading clinical teams   
  • Strong understanding of clinic operations and P&L management   
  • Proven ability to drive results, accountability, and team engagement   
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
