Knowledge of Occupational Therapy as described by the course description, syllabus and objectives is essential. This knowledge and skill attainment would be documented through college education, professional experience and continuing education coursework and/or teaching experience. This employee will instruct OTA students in Occupational Therapy content and lab activities. The employee is expected to make appropriate independent clinical judgments based on sound scientific rational and possess the ability to effectively organize and present course content to students in written or verbal form as directed by the team leader. The employee must maintain student behavior in the classroom to promote a positive learning environment. Collaboration and coordination of teaching responsibilities with other members of the faculty is required. Guidance for the employee is received from the Academic Program Director.
