7th/8th Grade Math Teacher

The New Lisbon School District is seeking a highly motivated and student-centered 7th/8th grade math teacher to join our growing 7-12 learning community. This position will include teaching middle-level math courses, with potential opportunities for pre-algebra and Algebra I, depending on experience and student needs.

We are actively engaged in the PLC process and are looking for an educator who believes collaboration is not optional, clarity matters, and all students can learn at high levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach math to students in grades 7-8 (including potential Algebra I)
  • Design instruction aligned to essential standards, learning intentions, and success criteria
  • Use formative assessment practices to monitor learning and respond to student needs
  • Participate fully in collaborative planning, data analysis, and collective responsibility for student results
  • Create a classroom environment that is inclusive, structured, and focused on student growth
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues

Qualifications

  • Wisconsin teaching license in Mathematics or Middle Childhood-Early Adolescence (or ability to obtain licensure)
  • Experience teaching middle school mathematics preferred

  • Strong instructional, organizational, and communication skills
