7th & 8th Grade Volleyball Coaches Alexandria Monroe High School Junior High Volleyball Alexandria Indiana Season: Fall 2026 | Application Deadline: May 1, 2026
Position Overview
Alexandria Monroe Jr-Sr High School is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated coaches for our 7th Grade and 8th Grade Volleyball programs. Coaches will be responsible for developing student-athletes volleyball skills, sportsmanship, and love of the game in a positive and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities • Plan and conduct engaging practices that develop fundamental volleyball skills, including serving, passing, setting, hitting, and blocking. • Coach players during matches, providing in-game instruction and strategic direction. • Promote a positive team culture centered on respect, teamwork, and sportsmanship. • Communicate regularly with players, parents, guardians, and school administration. • Monitor academic eligibility and overall well-being of student-athletes. • Ensure the safety of all participants during practices and games. • Organize and manage equipment, uniforms, and other team logistics. • Attend required coaches meetings, training, and school events.
Qualifications • Previous coaching or competitive playing experience in volleyball preferred. • Experience working with middle school or youth-aged athletes strongly preferred. • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. • Commitment to the academic and personal development of student-athletes. • Ability to pass a background check as required by Alexandria Monroe School District. • Valid drivers license
Schedule & Compensation • Season runs approximately August through September. • Practices are typically held on weekdays in the evenings. • This is a part-time, seasonal position. • Compensation will be based on experience.
