JOB TITLE: Middle School 7th Grade Mathematics Teacher
CLASSIFICATION: Professional Staff
JOB OBJECTIVE: The teacher will create a positive learning environment that engages all students in learning through differentiated instruction. The teacher will prioritize social-emotional and academic learning through collaboration and participation in a Professional Learning Community.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
Essential Role Responsibilities:
Serve as an 7th Grade Math Teacher in support of all learners in an inclusive classroom setting.
Monitor students' academic and behavioral progress through data collection and analysis to guide instructional decisions.
Communicate proactively and effectively with other teachers and administrators.
Collaborate with colleagues, including special education case managers and student services personnel, to provide a range of academic and social-emotional support to students in inclusive classroom settings.
Establish effective rapport and build strong relationships with students.
Develop positive relationships and engage in open reciprocal communication with parents and families.
Able to design and implement lessons using the Common Core Mathematical Standards.
Perform other duties as directed by building administration.

Experience in teaching using differentiated instruction, cooperative learning, computer technology, and authentic assessment.
Familiar with Response to Intervention (RtI) processes, including progress monitoring and using data to guide instruction.
Experience working with diverse learners and supporting culturally responsive practices.
Ability to use technology in support of learning and instruction.
Ability to work collaboratively and productively as an active member of a teaching team.
Experience working in student-centered teams collaboratively with colleagues in professional learning communities.
Interest or experience in advising/coaching/co-curricular activities.
