Responsibilities:

nn

nxe2x80xa2 Responsible for the design generation of power supplies from inception to final product

nxe2x80xa2 Responsible for working on 4 or more designs on average

nxe2x80xa2 Design from documentation supplied by customers and/or internal specifications

nxe2x80xa2 Responsible for directing Technicians and Assemblers as to Engineering

nxe2x80xa2 Provide technical support and assistance for engineering staff

nxe2x80xa2 Provide technical support to less senior technical staff

nxe2x80xa2 Interface with Sales/Marketing and customers as required

nxe2x80xa2 Responsible for generating preliminary documentation for fabrication of prototype models which may include fabricating, testing, troubleshooting and repairing analog and digital/analog circuits

nxe2x80xa2 Testing will include subjecting product model with either actual or prototype breadboard to environmental conditions to establish operational stability, reliability and conformity to design

nxe2x80xa2 Prototyping will also include recommending and designing fixtures, tooling and equipment for the manufacture of product within manufacturing

nxe2x80xa2 Maintain necessary records, files and reports

nxe2x80xa2 Make effective and efficient use of all resources including but not limited to inventory materials, supplies, tools and tolling, equipment, technicians etc.

nxe2x80xa2 Practice good housekeeping in own area

nxe2x80xa2 Properly maintain equipment to include reporting uncalibrated equipment

nxe2x80xa2 Ability to generate instructional information for the manufacturing of product being transferred from engineering to manufacturing

nxe2x80xa2 Interface with other departments, vendors and manufacturing

nxe2x80xa2 Follow established company rules and regulations

nxe2x80xa2 Follow ISO policy and procedures throughout all work performed

nxe2x80xa2 Consult supervisor when unusual conditions exist and or safety issues arise

nxe2x80xa2 Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications:

nn

nEducation: 4 year college degree in electronics

nExperience: 6 years electronics or equivalent experience in design of Power Conversion Circuits

nKnowledge of digital control design beneficial

nMust be completely familiar with the following:

nxe2x80xa2 Advanced analog design techniques including magnetic design and theory

nxe2x80xa2 Power supply layout and packaging including verification of cad generated documentation

nxe2x80xa2 Power applications, and interpretation of system power specification

nxe2x80xa2 Component engineering including stress factor analysis

nxe2x80xa2 Manufacturing techniques related to power supply manufacture

nSkills: Perform work using oscilloscopes, voltage meters, electronic loads, bench top power supplies, variacs, test fixtures, environmental ovens and other electronic associated equipment

nKnowledge of digital design related to power control design

nMust be capable of making logical sequential steps in performance of work and require minimum of supervision and direction
