Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Unit
We are looking for a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Surgical Unit in a dynamic hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience, with a strong ability to manage a variety of patients and conditions. As an RN in the medical-surgical unit, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to adult patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury, ensuring the highest standards of care are met.
Location: Hospital Setting
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care to individuals recovering from surgery, illness, or injury.
Monitor patients' vital signs, administer medications, and implement prescribed treatments.
Collaborate with doctors, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and carry out personalized care plans.
Assess patients’ conditions, identify changes, and respond accordingly.
Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and recovery process.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients through proper infection control protocols.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience in a hospital setting.
Strong clinical skills in managing a variety of medical and surgical conditions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while providing compassionate care.
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work well within a collaborative healthcare team.
Required to FLOAT to an equal or lesser Acuity, if requested.
Type: full-time contract employment 13-14 weeks with possibility to extend
