Market Analyst

Position Overview

We are seeking a Markets Support Analyst to join the Securities Lending Middle Office & Operations team. In this role, you will provide operational support to the Stock Loan, Corporate Bonds, and Equity Financing trading desks by ensuring the timely processing and settlement of securities transactions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a strong ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining operational accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the daily operations of the Securities Lending Middle Office and Operations team.
• Assist with pre-matching future-dated trades and coordinate trade settlement activities.
• Communicate with external counterparties to confirm trade cash values and ensure accurate transaction processing.
• Process cash movements and ensure timely market settlement of securities transactions.
• Monitor and resolve settlement exceptions, reconciliation breaks, and operational discrepancies.
• Process recall requests, journal entries, and wire transfers accurately and efficiently.
• Prioritize and manage high-value exposures while supporting collateral management activities.
• Escalate operational risks, settlement issues, and exceptions in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with internal trading desks and external clients to facilitate smooth transaction processing.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and enhance workflow efficiency.
• Adapt to evolving business needs, regulatory requirements, and changing market conditions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to prioritize work effectively in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to identify, investigate, and resolve operational issues.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively within a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in Securities Lending Operations, Stock Loan Operations, or Capital Markets Operations.
• Experience supporting Middle Office, Trade Support, or Trade Operations functions.
• Knowledge of securities settlement, reconciliation, collateral management, and cash movements.
• Familiarity with equity financing, corporate bonds, and securities lending processes.
• Experience working in a financial services, investment banking, or capital markets environment.
