Join our skilled team of imaging professionals as an IR Technologist in High Point, NC. You will perform invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures, operate and ensure quality assurance of imaging equipment, and provide patient monitoring during procedures. This position supports a teaching hospital with specialty services including chest pain and stroke care.


Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years of Interventional Radiology technologist experience with references required.
  • ARRT-R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography) or RCIS certification required.
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
  • BLS certification required.
  • State radiologic technologist license for NC required.
  • Experience scrubbing and assisting in interventional procedures, circulating, operating IR equipment, and providing procedural supplies.
  • Experience with Siemens imaging equipment and Point-of-care ultrasound (e.g., Sonosite) preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required. First-time travelers accepted.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with complex embolizations, thrombectomy, thrombolysis, TIPS, Y90, biopsies, and venous access procedures.
  • Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical record and Baxter IV pumps preferred.
  • Previous experience in a teaching hospital setting preferred.


Assignment Details

  • Shift hours: 0700-1730.
  • Schedule options: 4x10 shifts (0700-1730) or 5x8 shifts (0800-1630); schedule cycles rotate every 4-6 weeks.
  • Call: 3-4 call days per month. Weekend call approximately every 5th–6th weekend from Friday end of shift until Monday 0800.
  • Orientation: New employee orientation plus at least 2 days of unit orientation.
  • Department support: typical staffing 2 techs per room with RN support; 1 provider and 4 APPs in department.
  • Floating: No floating required.
