MS Ambulatory Care Medical Surgical Skilled in an outpatient setting in Juneau, Alaska. The position involves providing clinical services within the Urgent Care Department, supporting patients and medical staff, and ensuring quality of care and efficient clinic operation. This role requires active licensing, relevant recent experience, and adherence to safety and infection control standards.

Job Details

• Current full, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska. Agency staff must have an active Alaska license at time of submittal.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum 2 years of urgent care experience or emergency department experience within the last 4 years.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include providing clinical care, overseeing clinic operations, maintaining medication inventory, documenting all care provided, assisting providers, and ensuring quality control of Point of Care tests.
• Oversee clinic opening and closing, communicate effectively across departments, and maintain a safe, clean working environment.
• Support and participate in staff meetings, mandatory training, in-service programs, and adhere to infection control policies.
• Demonstrate effective assessment, specimen collection, and equipment use, along with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Physical requirements include frequent standing, walking, sitting, and handling up to 50 pounds.
