The Freedom Area School District is seeking highly motivated candidates for a full-time, 8th Grade English Language Arts teacher beginning in the 2026-2027 school year. The Freedom Area School District is located between Green Bay and Appleton in the beautiful Fox Valley. Freedom Middle School is a building of approximately 350 students and 25 staff members. The ideal candidate will focus on positively contributing to both the grade level and building level professional learning communities throughout Freedom Middle School.
Strong candidates will possess the following skills and characteristics:
- Strong understanding of best practices for literacy instruction in a middle school classroom
- Ability to team with both special education and regular education teachers to serve all students.
- Believe that every student has intrinsic value and is a unique individual with different needs and abilities
- Communicate effectively with parents, students, and other staff members to improve practices and curriculum for the students
- Practice positive and effective communicate with a team of educators through the PLC framework
- Ability to develop, maintain, and improve professional skills by participating in building level initiatives and other professional development opportunities
