We pride ourselves on a supportive, family-like atmosphere where staff genuinely care about student outcomes. Our modern facilities and community-driven mission make Kewaunee a stable and rewarding place to grow your career in public service.

The Role

We are seeking a passionate and collaborative 8th Grade Math Teacher to join our middle school team for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate thrives in a student-centered environment and is eager to implement the CPM (College Preparatory Mathematics) curriculum, which emphasizes problem-solving, reasoning, and communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Instructional Leadership: Deliver high-quality 8th-grade math instruction using the CPM curriculum, facilitating "productive struggle" and collaborative learning.
  • Student Engagement: Create an intellectually safe classroom where students feel comfortable taking risks and engaging in mathematical discourse.
  • Inclusive Excellence: Adapt and scaffold lessons to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including those with IEPs or English Language Learners.
  • Collaboration: Partner with grade-level teams, content specialists, and families to support the academic and social-emotional growth of every student.
  • Data-Driven Growth: Use formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and adjust instruction to ensure grade-level standards are met.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Middle School Education, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Licensure: Valid Wisconsin Teaching License (Mathematics 400 or Regular Education 777/Middle Childhood through Early Adolescence).
  • Curriculum Knowledge: Familiarity with CPM curriculum is highly preferred; a commitment to student-centered, inquiry-based math instruction is required.
  • Skills: Strong classroom management, proficiency with educational technology, and excellent communication skills.
