West Hartford Public Schools is seeking a full-time middle school Technology & Engineering teacher beginning August, 2026. With units in Engineering, Graphic Design and Computer Science, candidates with a deep knowledge of technology are invited to apply.

Qualifications: Applicants must hold or be eligible for a State of Connecticut Business Education teaching endorsement (047 Technology Ed). A state and national criminal check will be required as well as a DCF search.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • planning engaging lessons and developing instructional materials and assessments
  • creating a welcoming and structured classroom environment
  • working with the department to develop curriculum on ongoing basis
  • participating in professional growth activities

The ideal candidate will:

  • be prepared to teach any assigned Technology & Engineering unit from the program of studies
  • be a team player willing to work in a strong, collaborative environment
  • have strong technology skills in both Microsoft Office and the Google platform
