Job Summary
Responsible for managing and supporting mainframe network infrastructure, ensuring reliable, secure, and high-performance connectivity in IBM z/OS environments.
Key Responsibilities - Manage and support mainframe network systems (z/OS, TCP/IP, VTAM)
- Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues
- Maintain SNA, FTP/SFTP, and system communications
- Ensure secure integration between mainframe and distributed systems
- Monitor network performance and support incident resolution
- Assist in capacity planning and system optimization
Required Skills - IBM Mainframe (z/OS) experience
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, VTAM, SNA
- Experience with FTP/SFTP and network troubleshooting
- Understanding of mainframe communication tools (e.g., OSA, HiperSockets)
- Basic security knowledge (RACF, TLS/SSL)
Experience - 3 8 years in mainframe/network support or infrastructure roles
Soft Skills - Strong troubleshooting skills
- Good communication
- Ability to work in production support environments
