About John's Auto Care Center

John's Auto Care Center is seeking experienced A-Level and B-Level Automotive Technicians in Medford, Oregon. This is an hourly position paying $25-$35 per hour, depending on technician level, plus an opportunity to earn a production bonus. The shop offers a Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends, a team-oriented environment, and an owner onsite every workday. Technicians work on a mix of domestic, Asian, European, and fleet vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair automotive mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns.
• Perform general automotive repair, maintenance, inspections, and component removal and replacement.
• Complete brake repairs, timing chain work, turbo-related repairs, oil leak repairs, and other general automotive services.
• Use diagnostic and scan tools to identify vehicle problems and determine appropriate repairs.
• Service domestic, Asian, European, and fleet vehicles, including Ford, Chevrolet, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and Volkswagen vehicles.
• Assist Service Advisors with parts identification, repair information, and labor-time questions as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized service bay and support an efficient team workflow.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of automotive repair experience for B-Level Technician candidates.
• At least 5 years of automotive repair experience for A-Level Technician candidates.
• Intermediate to advanced automotive diagnostic ability appropriate to the technician's experience level.
• Experience with general repair, electrical systems, drivability, maintenance, and automotive diagnostics.
• European vehicle experience is preferred, particularly experience with BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and Volkswagen.
• ASE certifications are preferred but not required.
• Must have personal tools needed to perform assigned automotive repair work.

Compensation & Benefits

• B-Level Technician: $25-$28 per hour.
• A-Level Technician: $28-$35 per hour.
• Hourly pay; this is not a flat-rate position.
• Production bonus opportunity based on flagged hours, paid monthly.
• Biweekly base-pay schedule.

• Uniform shirts and pants provided.
• Training support may include books, schooling, certification-related development, and O'Reilly training when approved by the shop; support is determined individually and may be contingent on successful completion.
• Relocation or toolbox-moving assistance may be considered individually for the right candidate.
