Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technician with extensive Asian vehicle experience for an established independent repair shop in Walnut Creek, CA. This position pays $35.00-$50.00 per hour based on job-related experience, knowledge, and demonstrated skills. The shop offers a Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends, a clean professional work environment, and a stable workflow focused on quality repairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections following manufacturer and industry standards.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Asian vehicles, including Toyota, Lexus, Subaru, Mazda, Honda, Acura, Nissan, and Infiniti.
• Perform routine maintenance, advanced diagnostics, major repairs, and removal and replacement work.
• Diagnose and repair domestic and European vehicles as needed.
• Use ALLDATA, diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and technical resources to identify vehicle concerns and complete accurate repairs.
• Document inspections, diagnostic findings, and repair recommendations in the shop management system.
• Communicate vehicle conditions, diagnostic findings, and repair needs clearly with the Service Advisor.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while delivering high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of professional automotive repair experience.
• Extensive experience servicing Toyota, Lexus, Subaru, Mazda, Honda, Acura, Nissan, and Infiniti vehicles.
• Strong automotive diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to perform maintenance, advanced diagnostics, major repairs, and R&R work with minimal supervision.
• Comprehensive set of professional automotive tools.
• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and ALLDATA.
• ASE Certifications and/or California State Smog License preferred; hybrid and electric vehicle experience is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits
