Pay Rate: A-Level: $50-$65 per flagged hour | B-Level: $40-$50 per flagged hour

Introduction

We are seeking experienced A-Level and B-Level Automotive Technicians in Richmond, TX for a busy independent repair shop servicing all makes and models, with a focus on newer vehicles. Flat-rate pay ranges from $40-$65 per flagged hour depending on technician level, with current technicians averaging approximately 50 flagged hours per week. The shop is known for advanced diagnostics, consistent workflow, and ongoing on-site and off-site training.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and drivability concerns on modern vehicles across multiple makes and models.
• Perform advanced electrical and drivability diagnostics as appropriate to technician skill level.
• Complete general automotive repairs from diagnosis through final completion.
• Perform Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) and accurately document vehicle findings.
• Document repair recommendations clearly using Tekmetric.
• Maintain strong productivity while delivering quality workmanship.
• Work independently while contributing to an efficient, team-oriented shop environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience in an independent shop environment.
• Strong general automotive repair abilities and diagnostic experience.
• Advanced/heavy diagnostic experience required for A-Level candidates.
• Proven ability to complete automotive repairs from start to finish.
• Experience performing Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI).
• Strong computer skills and ability to work with digital shop systems.
• Demonstrated reliability, organization, productivity, and follow-through in prior roles.

Compensation & Benefits

• A-Level Technician: $50-$65 per flagged hour.
