Job Summary:
HQ Aero is currently recruiting for experienced A&P MECHANIC – LEAD HELICOPTER in LEXINGTON, KY.
Responsibilities:
The A&P Mechanic - Helicopter is responsible for the installation, repair, modification and routine maintenance on aircraft as required; operates in compliance with company safety practices and performs other duties as assigned.
Working on small Cessnas to corporate jets, and helicopters from the helicycle to an AS 365N3.
Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:- A&P License is required, and IA is preferred.
- Minimum 5 plus years of prior experience as an aviation helicopter mechanic with deep knowledge of General Aviation Airplanes, Lite and medium helicopters, military, regional and/or commercial aircraft experience is required.
- Willing to consider applicants with 1-2 years of combined relevant experience.
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Standard Aviation Tool Kit required.
- Criminal Background Check & Compliant to FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory.
Job Type: - Contract to Hire.
- Day shift: Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

- Be able to lift equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Be able to climb ladders, apply finger and hand dexterity in using hand tools, be able to move around the shop/hangar area and within aircraft continuously throughout the workday.
